Doug Says:

Doug at his game I started playing the drums at age nine and my first set of drums was pots, pans and Tupperware. I played in the concert band in elementary school, played in the concert and jazz band in junior high and in high school I played in the concert band, jazz band, marching band, jazz and show choirs and an original/cover band called Equinox that did fairly well for a high school band. We played the immortal Ranch House!!! as well as did some recording of original material.  Now, the post high school years:

Nobody's Children - Original band
Flicks - Original band. One tape released
Easy Money - Top 40
Ernesto Lugo Big Band- Big Band jazz
Hipsocket - Rhythm and Blues cover band
Andrea Bates - Jazz standards and older top 40
Fixation - Original rock. One CD released
And countless opportunities to fill in for one shot gigs.
Attended Berklee college of Music from 1986-87

My musical tastes are, for the most part, late 60's early 70's I do listen to some current bands but most of them have been around for ten years already. Some of the rock bands and/or solo artist's that I really dig are:

Grand Funk Railroad, Jimi Hendrix, MC5, Mountain, Love, Motorhead, The Beatles, The original Alice Cooper Band, Rush, Crack The Sky, Husker Du, Juliana Hatfield, Bryan Maclean, Arthur Lee, Pat Travers, Black Oak Arkansas, Steppenwolf, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Mark Farner, Bloodrock, West, Bruce and Laing, Wayne Kramer, Saxon, Tank and Thin Lizzy. There are so many more that if I listed them all it would take up 3 pages.  Of course I can't forget about Jazz:

Dave Brubeck Quartet, Bill Evans, Clifford Brown/Max Roach, George Russell, Miles Davis Quintet, Thelonious Monk and Duke Ellington.
